Use your PC or MAC as a radio, video player, or TV set.

Real Player introduces G2 Player. This program allows you to hear live "simulcast" radio broadcasts over the Internet. Many of your favorite radio stations are becoming able to use "streaming audio" to access an entirely new audience.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft's has a competing technology, Microsoft Windows Media Player. Like many Microsoft products, its supports several different media formats.

Apple Computer has also put out a very popular media device called QuickTime Movie. Primarily used as a browser plug-in, it's larger applications will allow you to run full length movies over your own PC.
